Adobe Illustrator CS3
This class is designed for the new Illustrator user and teaches the basics:
- Getting to Know the Work Area. (a quick overview of the CS3 interface)
- Selecting and Aligning. (learn how to make selections and align objects)
- Creating Shapes. (use the shape tools for drawing objects)
- Transforming Objects. (learn how to move, scale, rotate, reflect and shear objects)
- Drawing with the Pen Tool. (learn to draw and edit lines and curves for unlimited drawing possibilities)
- Color and Painting. (defining color, tint, gradient and pattern swatches, plus a look at Live Color and the new Color Guide panel)
- Working with Type. (add and format type on a poster, includes text wrap and defining multiple columns)

Adobe Illustrator CS3 Advanced
This class is designed for the intermediate Illustrator user and covers intermediate and advanced features of Adobe Illustrator CS3:
- Working with Layers (use layers to organize your Illustrator project)
- Blending Shapes and Colors (create gradient swatches and smooth-color blends, along with blended shapes)
- Working with Brushes (use the four default brushes—Art, Calligraphic, Pattern and Scatter—and then create your own)
- Applying Effects (create objects with Texture, Warp, 3D Effects and more)
- Applying Appearance Attributes and Graphic Styles (enhance the basic design for a Web page by applying appearance attributes and Graphic Styles to the type, background and buttons)
- Working with Symbols (apply and control symbol instances, create your own symbols)
