easy steps to submit images to us

Below are instructions for both getting a quote and how to get your photos to us.

Step One
Create a digital image of your file. We will accept images that are scanned, images taken from a digital camera and images from services that can provide you with images on a CD. Directions for scanning and emailing are below.

Step Two
Fill out our 'get a retouch quote' form by clicking on the link at the bottom of this window. We will then contact you via email or phone with a quote and instructions on how to get us your image to us. Our pricing structure is broken down for you on our pricing page.

Step Three
Once your image is retouched, we will email you a personalized web link where you will find your new image. Once approved by you and payment is made, we will ship your order including a CD containing your new image.

Scans:
For the best results, follow these very important steps.

1. Scan your image at 300 pixels per inch. Some scanning software programs refer to pixels per inch (ppi) as dots per inch (dpi). If you want a final image at a larger size, it must be scanned in at a higher ppi. If you want your image to be 8x10 and it is currently a 4x5, scan the image in at 600 pixels per inch.
   
   
2. Scan your image in Color Mode (RGB) even if the image is black and white. All scanners use Red Green and Blue lights to scan (RGB).
   
   
3. Do not attempt any clean-up or color correction. A straight untouched photo from your scanner is the best thing you can give us.
   
   
4. Save your image as a .jpg (that stands for JPEG) at maximum quality.
   
   
5. Remember where you saved it and what you named it because you will need it later. Save to your Desktop for the easiest retrieval.
   
   
6. Use our 'get a retouch quote' form (see below) and email the image(s) to us as an attachment to this address:

Images from a digital camera:
For the best results, follow these very important steps.

1. Shoot the image using the camera's highest quality setting.
   
   
2. Do not try to enhance or color correct the image. A straight untouched photo from your camera is the best thing you can give us.
   
   
3. Save your image as a .jpg at maximum quality setting. Most cameras already save images as .jpg(that stands for JPEG).
4. Remember where you saved it and what you named it because you will need it later. Save to your Desktop for the easiest retrieval.
   
   
5. Use our 'get a retouch quote' form (see below) and email the image(s) to us as an attachment to this address:

Images from an existing CD:

1. Copy the image you want to use from the CD to your computer. Save to your Desktop for the easiest retrieval.
